Darby O’Gill and the Little People, Walt Disney’s classic film, has been posted by somebody in 9 parts on YouTube. Starring the original James Bond himself, a very young Sean Connery, I remember watching this film many times marveling at the scenery and special effects created by the late Peter Ellenshaw. Tyler Stout’s Poster For ‘The Monster Squad’

Below is a heckuva fun poster created for a 2009 screening of The Monster Squad at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema by artist Tyler Stout.

This a great design, capturing all the characters and moments of a cult-favorite monster movie that kicked creature butt all over Van Helsing!

Unfortuantely, the blue variant version of the poster is sold out, but you can still order the red version over at MondoTees.

Video: Projection On Buildings

This simulated-version video showcases some potentially very, very cool uses of 3D projection on buildings. It’s not really a new idea, but seeing how this could look on a large scale is intriguing.

Clearly, the projections have been recreated using effects for the purposes of the video (you can tell by the lack of reaction from nearby pedestrians), however, it’s still pretty fascinating to see what could be achieved if an army of ultra-bright projectors could cover the whole facade of a building.

Pogo’s New Disney•Pixar “Upular” Tune

Talented electronic music artist, Pogo has created his latest magical audio/video remix featuring samples from Disney•Pixar’s film Up (my favorite film of 2009) and it’s really enjoyable! You may recall one of his other remixes, “Alice”, featuring Disney’s animated Alice In Wonderland.

You can download MP3′s of his tunes at: Last.fm and also check out his MySpace page.

I understand that there may be some copyright usage issues being discussed between him and Disney, because the “Expialidocious” tune is currently offline on the Last.fm page and the “Alice” video is also not up on his YouTube channel or MySpace page anymore. So, you’ll have to be resourceful and dig around the web to find those tracks. However, it’s great to see that Disney•Pixar are supporting his “Upular” track!
