An overview of Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park where we carried out our first two weeks of field work. The rounded rock formations that are exposed on both sides of the Milk River are Late Cretaceous-aged beach deposits. Visitors to the park can view native petrogylphs carved in to these rocks.
